The Pokemon GO Tour: Unova introduced exciting new Adventure Effects for the legendary Pokemon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. These unique abilities offer trainers strategic advantages and improve their chances of capturing Pokemon.

This year's GO Tour celebrated the Unova region, with in-person events taking place in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles. Trainers had the opportunity to participate in special activities, including the chance to encounter and catch a shiny Meloetta through a Masterwork Research task. Following the in-person events, the GO Tour continued with a global component.

Players who fused Zekrom with a Kyurem knowing the Charged Attack Glaciate could obtain a Black Kyurem with the powerful Charged Attack Freeze Shock.  By activating Black Kyurem's Adventure Effect using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Kyurem Candy, trainers unleash electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, paralyzing encountered Pokemon and making them easier to capture.  Reverting the fusion changes Freeze Shock back to Glaciate.

Similarly, fusing Reshiram with a Kyurem knowing Glaciate yields a White Kyurem with the Charged Attack Ice Burn.  Its Adventure Effect, also activated with 5,000 Stardust and 5 Kyurem Candy, emits chilling energy for 10 minutes, slowing down the target ring during Pokemon encounters. This enhances the accuracy of throws, assisting players in securing excellent throws and adding new Pokemon to their collection.  As with Black Kyurem, reversing the fusion reverts Ice Burn to Glaciate.

The global portion of Pokemon GO Tour: Unova ran from March 1st to 2nd, 2025. These Adventure Effects provided a significant boost to trainers during the event. The Pokemon GO Tour: Unova Tour Pass further amplified these effects, extending their duration based on milestone achievements within the pass.  Tier 2 extended the duration by 1.5x, Tier 3 by 2x, and Tier 4 by 3x.  The Tour Pass also offered additional rewards, rank increases, and enhanced event bonuses.
