Recent Genshin Impact leaks hint at a significant change to Skirk's character model before her official release.  Currently using a modified Medium Female model, it's speculated her Fontaine appearance might be temporary.  As a disciple of Surtalogi and connected to the Abyss, Skirk remains a highly anticipated character, first teased by Tartaglia back in Version 1.1.  Players finally encountered her in Fontaine's final act, sparking further curiosity.

While her abilities remain largely unknown, evidence points towards Skirk being a Cryo character, possibly wielding a sword or claymore.  The Version 5.5 Artifact set further supports this theory.  Additionally, it's expected she'll possess a unique form of Elemental Energy, similar to Mavuika's Fighting Spirit.

While Charlotte's rerun in Genshin Impact 5.4 is exciting,  it doesn't address the larger questions surrounding upcoming characters.  Many believe Skirk will debut in Version 5.7, coinciding with the release of Mare Jivari, Natlan's final map expansion before Snezhnaya.  Reliable leaker DK2 claims Skirk's playable model will be adjusted from the Medium Female template, comparing the extent of changes to those seen with Varesa and Iansan. This suggests the modifications might be more than just 'slight'.

Although Skirk's design may have been finalized by Version 4.2, Genshin Impact has a history of character model updates before playable releases. Baizhu, for instance, received significant improvements while retaining his core design. This could be the case with Skirk as well.  Her silhouette in the upcoming character roster further hints at a different body shape compared to her current model.

The positive reception of Varesa and Iansan's diverse models could encourage HoYoverse to implement more varied character designs. With Version 5.5 introducing two Collective of Plenty characters, only Ifa, Dahlia, Effie, and Skirk remain unrevealed from the roadmap. Ifa, the last Natlan character before Version 6.0, will undoubtedly generate excitement, but Skirk seems poised to define the latter half of Natlan's story.
