Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Doubles Down on XP and Content

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched with a bang, offering players a plethora of new content and a Double XP event starting January 30th.  This follows closely on the heels of the previous Double XP weekend, demonstrating Treyarch Studios' commitment to keeping players engaged.

Season 2 introduced three new multiplayer maps, new weapons like the Feng 82 LMG, the PPSH-41 SMG, and the Cypher 091 assault rifle, all earnable through the free Battle Pass.  While Multiplayer thrives, Warzone is taking a breather this season, prioritizing much-needed bug fixes, performance tuning, and quality-of-life improvements over major content additions. This decision follows player feedback regarding ongoing issues since Season 1.

The upcoming Double XP event, as revealed by the in-game event tab and reported by CharlieIntel, will boost XP, Weapon XP, and Gobblegum earn rates, though it won't include Double Battle Pass XP. While an official duration hasn't been announced, it's expected to last the typical 4-5 days, covering the weekend and spilling into the following week.

This is the perfect opportunity for players to level up the new Season 2 weapons. The Feng 82 LMG, PPSH-41 SMG, and Cypher 091 assault rifle are all available through the free tiers of the Season 2 Battle Pass, making them accessible to all players.

Beyond the Double XP and new weaponry, Season 2 has even more in store.  Starting February 6th, a Terminator event will bring 13 unlockable rewards over a two-week period.  Players can earn skulls by eliminating enemies and opening caches (in Warzone) and then use these skulls to unlock rewards in the event tab. The event spans across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
