Raven Software has announced upcoming weapon balance changes for Call of Duty: Warzone, targeting the XM4 Assault Rifle and PPSh-41 SMG. These adjustments are expected early in the week of February 3rd and could significantly impact the current meta.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone launched on January 28th, introducing new content, including the PPSh-41 SMG. This classic weapon, known for its rapid fire rate and high mobility, has quickly become a popular choice.  The XM4 Assault Rifle, another fast-firing weapon with excellent handling, is also a prominent part of the Season 2 meta.

Raven Software will closely monitor the impact of these weapon adjustments and will release patch notes on their official Trello board.  While the specifics of the changes are unknown, speculation among players is rampant.  Some anticipate improvements to the PPSh-41's visibility, while others suggest potential magazine size reductions for the XM4 or handling buffs for the PPSh-41.  Ongoing audio issues on Rebirth Island have also been reported by players.

The upcoming Call of Duty x Terminator collaboration event, running from February 6th to 20th, adds another layer of excitement. Players can earn exclusive rewards by collecting skulls from kills in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. The timing of the weapon balance update allows players a few days to adapt to any changes before the event kicks off.
