The Pokemon TCG community is buzzing with excitement following a leak revealing all 29 secret rare cards from the upcoming Heat Wave Arena subset, set to release in Japan on March 14th.  This ninth Japanese subset of the Scarlet and Violet era promises an impressive array of cards featuring iconic trainers and their beloved Pokemon.

Earlier leaks had already hinted at the beauty of these cards, showcasing stunning artwork of fan-favorite trainer Cynthia and her powerful Garchomp. Subsequent leaks revealed impressive cards like the Cyndaquil evolution line and Mabosstiff, building anticipation for the full set reveal.

The latest leak confirms the inclusion of Cynthia's Roserade full art card, along with other highly sought-after Pokemon like Rotom and Shaymin.  Collectors will be thrilled to see full art cards of popular trainers paired with their Pokemon partners, such as Ethan with Typhlosion and Ho-Oh, and Ethan with Mabosstiff and Greedent. A particularly striking card is the gold variant of Cynthia’s Garchomp ex, sure to become a collector's centerpiece.

While Japanese fans can get their hands on Heat Wave Arena later this week, Western players will have to wait until May 30th for the cards to be incorporated into the Pokemon TCG Destined Rivals set.  This tenth major expansion of Gen 9 will combine Heat Wave Arena cards with those from the Glory of the Rocket Gang expansion and the Starter Sets featuring Marnie's Morpeko & Grimmsnarl ex and Steven's Beldum & Metagross ex, resulting in a massive collection of over 182 cards, not including the secret rares.

In the meantime, Western players can look forward to the release of Journey Together on March 28th. This ninth English-language expansion of the Scarlet and Violet cycle boasts over 180 new cards and marks the return of Pokemon’s Trainer cards, a mechanic not seen since EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua.  These Trainer cards will focus on the Pokemon belonging to iconic trainers N, Iono, Lillie, and Hop, offering a fresh dynamic to the game.
