The gaming world is about to witness an intriguing showdown as two highly anticipated titles launch on the same day: the Elden Ring spin-off, Shadow of the Erdtree, and the Chinese-developed action RPG, Lost Soul. Both games are set to release on May 30th, pitting them in direct competition for players' attention. Shadow of the Erdtree is priced at 198 CNY (approximately $28 USD), while Lost Soul comes in at a slightly higher price point of 268 CNY (approximately $38 USD).

Adding to the coincidence, the announcement of their respective release dates also occurred in close proximity.  Shadow of the Erdtree's launch date was revealed on February 12th, while Lost Soul followed suit shortly after during the State of Play livestream on February 13th.

Judging by their Steam wishlist rankings, a significant disparity in anticipated popularity is evident. Shadow of the Erdtree currently holds a considerably higher position, which may pose a challenge for Lost Soul's visibility and uptake.

Shadow of the Erdtree currently sits at number four on the global Steam wishlist rankings, indicating a substantial level of player excitement.

In contrast, Lost Soul is ranked significantly lower at number 313 on the global Steam wishlist.

A key factor affecting Lost Soul's potential sales is its regional availability.  Due to PSN restrictions, the game will be unavailable for purchase in over 130 countries and regions on Steam, placing a significant constraint on its reach.
