After years lost at sea, the highly anticipated Captain Blood action-adventure game is finally setting sail. Developed by Seawolf Studio and General Arcade, and published by SNEG, this revival of the classic Xbox 360 title is based on the acclaimed novels by Italian author Rafael Sabatini.

Set in the 17th century Caribbean, players will embody the legendary Captain Blood, embarking on a thrilling journey filled with pirate escapades. The developers promise a vibrant and action-packed experience, living up to the Captain's infamous name.

While open-world pirate games remain a relatively unexplored genre, Captain Blood looks to make a significant splash.  The game was officially revealed in a dynamic trailer, showcasing its exciting gameplay and confirming a May 6, 2025 release date.  It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and Mac.

Captain Blood has the potential to join the ranks of iconic video game pirates like Vaas Montenegro (Far Cry 3) and Edward Kenway (Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag).
