Overwatch 2 players can easily obtain five bonus Loot Boxes to celebrate Season 15.  By participating in a limited-time Discord Quest, fans can acquire extra loot with minimal effort. The quest runs until February 25th and requires players to simply play Overwatch 2 for 15 minutes after accepting the quest via the desktop Discord app.

This comes after the recent announcement that Loot Boxes are making a significant return to Overwatch 2.  The revamped system features duplicate protection, guaranteed drops, and limited monetization. With Season 15 officially live, players can start earning Loot Boxes for the first time since their removal at the end of Overwatch 1.

The 15 minutes of playtime needed to complete the Discord Quest don't even require active participation in matches.  Time spent browsing the Hero Gallery or idling on the main menu also counts towards the quest progression. Upon completion, players receive a code redeemable on the Battle.net app, which adds five Loot Boxes to their account. A game restart might be necessary for the Loot Boxes to appear in-game.

Overwatch 2 Director Aaron Keller previously mentioned multiple Discord programs and a season-long 'Perked Up' event packed with opportunities to earn Loot Boxes. With over 100 Loot Boxes reportedly earnable throughout Season 15, more Discord Quests are likely to appear in the coming weeks.

Besides the Discord Quest, players can find more Loot Boxes on the Battle Pass, through evergreen weekly challenges, and via the in-game Perked Up event challenges. These weekly quests offer up to 10 earnable Loot Boxes. During the first week, players can also unlock the 'Rainy Day Mercy' cosmetic, which perfectly complements the 'Rainy Day Mei' skin currently available as an Overwatch 2 Twitch Drop.
