EA Sports has officially announced that College Football 26 will launch on July 10, 2025, with early access starting July 7 for players who purchase the Deluxe Edition. This confirms that the franchise is here to stay, following the successful return of College Football 25 after a 12-year hiatus.

The college football gaming legacy began in 1993 with Bill Walsh College Football on NES, Sega Genesis, and Sega CD, featuring just 24 teams. After dropping Walsh's name, the series continued with annual releases until 2013. Last year's College Football 25 reignited the passion for collegiate football video games, and now College Football 26 promises to build on that momentum.

While EA has yet to reveal full details, a comprehensive showcase is scheduled for May 2025, where fans can expect announcements about gameplay improvements and new features. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no confirmation yet for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, or last-gen consoles.

Additionally, Madden NFL 26 is set to release on August 14, 2025, and EA is offering an MVP Bundle for players who want both games. Priced at $149.99, this bundle includes exclusive bonuses for pre-orders placed before April 29.
