The Bleach universe is set to reignite on March 21st with the launch of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. While Bleach stands tall as one of anime's 'big three,' alongside Naruto and One Piece, its video game presence has been relatively quiet in recent years, particularly on consoles.  This new release marks a significant return for the franchise, promising a revitalized gaming experience for longtime fans.

The mid-2000s represented a golden age for Bleach, with a constant stream of manga volumes, anime episodes, and video games.  Titles like the highly acclaimed Bleach: The Blade of Fate and its sequel, Bleach: Dark Souls, graced the Nintendo DS.  Other platforms saw releases such as Bleach: Shattered Blade for the Wii, various Japan-exclusive PSP titles, and Bleach: Soul Resurrection on the PS3 in 2011.  However, the following years saw a shift primarily to mobile gaming, leaving console fans yearning for a new Bleach experience.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls aims to fill this void. Developed by Tamsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, this 3D fighting game is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.  The game's narrative retraces key storylines from the initial arc through the Arrancar arc, offering a nostalgic journey for fans. With a roster of 31 playable characters, online battles, and local multiplayer options, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls promises a comprehensive fighting game package.

The game offers several purchase options. The standard edition is priced at $59.99. For $84.99, the Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a Season Pass (featuring four additional playable characters, early access to DLC characters, and a Two-Type Soul Crystal Set 1), a special costume set, and additional Soul Crystal sets. The Ultimate Edition, at $99.99, adds the Thousand-Year Blood War Costume Set. Pre-ordering any edition grants the Thousand-Year Blood War: Toshihiro Hitsugaya & Yoiruichi Shihoin Costume Set.
