Enter the Gungeon Now Available on Xbox Game Pass, Including Standard Tier

Good news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers! The popular bullet hell roguelike, Enter the Gungeon, is now available to play across all tiers of the service, including the Standard tier. This means even those without Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can join the fray and experience the challenging dungeon crawling action.

While recent additions to the Game Pass library have sometimes been exclusive to higher tiers, Enter the Gungeon’s arrival on Standard is a welcome change. Earlier this month, Monster Train and Galacticare were also added to all tiers, offering a wider range of titles for Standard subscribers.  However, the release of One Lonely Outpost remained exclusive to Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers, demonstrating the ongoing tiered approach to new releases.

Released in 2016 to critical acclaim, Enter the Gungeon earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam.  Its unique blend of bullet hell action, dungeon crawling, and roguelike elements offers a compelling gameplay loop.  The game also features local co-op for up to two players, allowing friends to team up and tackle the intense bullet-filled dungeons together. To access co-op mode, players will need to connect a second controller and interact with ‘The Cultist’ after completing at least one solo run.

March 2025 continues to be a busy month for Game Pass.  The fast-paced shooter, Mullet Madjack, joined the service on March 13, followed by the early access release of the online co-op game, 33 Immortals, on March 18.  33 Immortals aims to replicate the experience of large-scale MMORPG raids.  Later in the month, on March 27, Atomfall will launch day one on Game Pass, adding another exciting title to the ever-expanding library.  Further additions for the latter half of March are yet to be announced.
