Pokémon GO's Might and Mastery season is bringing a surge of powerful Dynamax Pokémon, including the legendary beasts Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. Niantic confirmed these exciting additions in a recent announcement, detailing a Dynamax Raikou Max Battle Weekend event starting March 15th.  The remaining legendary dogs are expected to follow shortly after.

This marks the second wave of Dynamax Legendary Pokémon, following the Kanto bird trio. This trend suggests more legendary Pokémon could receive the Dynamax treatment in future updates. In addition to the legendary beasts, Dynamax Kubfu and its evolutions will be available through Special Research.  Furthermore, the arrival of Gigantamax Machamp has been teased, though the exact release date remains unknown. Niantic hints at more Gigantamax battles to come, urging players to stay tuned for further announcements.

The introduction of Dynamax Legendary Pokémon has previously sparked debate amongst players, with some criticizing past Max Raids for unbalanced gameplay.  It remains to be seen whether Niantic will address these concerns before the Dynamax Legendary dogs make their debut.

Prior to the Might and Mastery season launch on March 1st, players can participate in the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn event, featuring opportunities to catch Kyogre and Groudon with new primal reversions.  The event also offers several free legendary Pokémon for a limited time.  This leads into the Might and Mastery season commencing on March 4th.
