Rumors of Ultron joining the playable roster of Marvel Rivals have been circulating for some time.  Currently boasting 37 characters, developer NetEase has promised to expand the lineup in future seasons.  Unofficial leaks have hinted at several potential additions, with names like Blade, Deadpool, and Ghost Rider frequently mentioned.

Ultron, one of the Avengers' most formidable foes, has been a recurring name in these leaks. His diverse power set, including potent energy blasts and drone summoning, would make him a natural fit for the arena shooter. Some speculate he would be classified as a Strategist within the game.

While NetEase has yet to officially confirm Ultron's inclusion, a recent discovery at Hot Topic might have inadvertently revealed his in-game presence. A Marvel Rivals t-shirt featuring Ultron has been spotted in the retailer's inventory.

The design on the shirt appears heavily inspired by Ultron's appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with angular, gunmetal grey features and glowing red accents.  While the design seems consistent with the game's aesthetic, the hero icon on the shirt reportedly belongs to Peni Parker, raising questions about its authenticity.

Some have suggested the shirt might be an unlicensed product. However, its continued availability on the Hot Topic website alongside official Marvel Rivals merchandise, without intervention from Marvel or NetEase, lends some credibility to the leak.

Although the t-shirt isn't definitive proof, combined with the persistent rumors, it strengthens the possibility of Ultron's eventual arrival in Marvel Rivals. With Season One concluding on April 11th, fans anticipate announcements regarding Season Two content, including new characters. Blade currently appears the most likely candidate for an early addition, with Ultron potentially debuting later.
