InZOI Surpasses Silksong as Steam's Most Wishlisted Game

In a surprising turn of events, the life simulation game InZOI has eclipsed Hollow Knight: Silksong to become the most wishlisted title on Steam. With its early access release just around the corner on March 28th, this Sims-inspired game has captured the attention of gamers worldwide.

Developed by InZOI Studio and published by Krafton, InZOI was initially unveiled in 2023.  Its realistic graphics and promise of deep life simulation gameplay quickly garnered a substantial following.  Positive early access reviews have further fueled the hype, with praise directed towards the game's freedom, robust character creation tools, and immersive world, despite some minor technical hiccups.

This surge in popularity has propelled InZOI to the top of Steam's wishlist charts, surpassing other highly anticipated titles such as Valve's Deadlock, Elden Ring: Neightreign, and even the long-awaited Hollow Knight sequel.  Access to InZOI: Creative Studio, which allows players to experiment with the character creator, has likely contributed to the high number of wishlists. Other games currently in the top 10 most wishlisted include Mecha Break, Light No Fire, Subnautica 2, Dune: Awakening, Borderlands 4, and ARK 2.

Hollow Knight: Silksong's displacement from the top spot isn't entirely unprecedented, with titles like Monster Hunter Wilds achieving similar feats in the past.  However,  the recent radio silence surrounding Silksong's release date has frustrated some fans, potentially dampening the excitement despite previous encouraging updates from developer Team Cherry.

The question remains whether InZOI can maintain its momentum and challenge the established dominance of The Sims 4.  Krafton's post-launch roadmap offers a glimpse into the future, promising multiple free DLCs during the early access period.  Kucingku Cat Island, inspired by Southeast Asia, is slated for release in August 2025, followed by another content update between August and September of the same year. These additions aim to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging while players eagerly anticipate the full 1.0 release.
