Xbox Game Pass Expands Library with Octopath Traveler 2, Train Sim World 5, and More

The Xbox Game Pass library is constantly evolving, and March 2025 saw the addition of several exciting titles to the Standard tier.  Octopath Traveler 2 and Train Sim World 5 joined the roster, offering subscribers even more diverse gaming experiences.

While the service updates weekly, Standard tier additions are less frequent.  March kicked off with Galacticare, already available on higher tiers since May 2024, followed by Enter the Gungeon on March 11th.

Train Sim World 5 and Octopath Traveler 2 arrived on March 19th.  Train Sim World 5 had been accessible to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members since September 2024, while Octopath Traveler 2 premiered three months earlier. Both games have garnered thousands of positive Steam reviews and boast strong player ratings on the Xbox Store, with Octopath Traveler 2 holding a 4.6-star average and Train Sim World 5 achieving a solid 3-star rating.

Looking ahead, April 2025 promises an exciting lineup for Game Pass subscribers.  Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island and Blizzard Arcade Collection are slated for Standard tier release on March 20th and 25th respectively, bringing the March total to seven additions.  This falls slightly short of February's eight new Standard tier games.

The next wave of Standard tier games is expected to be revealed alongside the April 2025 Wave 1 announcement, likely on April 1st, based on Microsoft’s typical Tuesday announcements. Meanwhile, other Game Pass tiers will welcome six more titles by month's end.  Three Core-tier releases, Tunic, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Monster Sanctuary, are scheduled for March 26th, followed by Atomfall's day-one launch on Ultimate and PC Game Pass on March 27th.
