The upcoming indie game Wild Blue is set to reignite the passion for classic on-rails shooters, reminiscent of beloved titles like Star Fox. Developed by Chuhai Labs, Wild Blue promises an action-packed, nostalgic journey through vibrant skies and challenging aerial combat.

Star Fox, a pioneering series in 3D gaming, captivated players with its futuristic setting and exhilarating gameplay.  From its Super Nintendo debut to various iterations on Nintendo 64, GameCube, and DS, the adventures of Fox McCloud and his team became iconic. Now, Wild Blue aims to capture that same magic, offering a modern take on the genre.

Wild Blue showcased its vibrant world and gameplay during the Humble Games Showcase. Featuring anthropomorphic animal pilots, distinctive X-shaped fighters, and intense dogfights, the game's aesthetic clearly draws inspiration from Star Fox. Players will take on the role of Bowie Stray, leading the Blue Bombers squadron in a fight to save their world.

Adding to the pedigree of Wild Blue is the involvement of Giles Goddard, a programmer who worked on the original Star Fox. Now leading Chuhai Labs, Goddard brings his expertise to this new project, promising a thrilling experience for both veterans and newcomers.

According to the game's Steam page, players will navigate diverse environments, from vast oceans and desert canyons to intricate cave systems.  A variety of missions and challenges await, promising high replayability. The game boasts accessible controls, ensuring that players of all skill levels can jump in and enjoy the action.
