Pokemon TCG Pocket Gible Drop Event Offers Promo Cards and Rewards
2025-03-04 06:21:18DeNA's popular mobile game, Pokemon TCG Pocket, continues its trend of frequent events with the new Gible Drop Event. Launched shortly after the conclusion of the Darkness-type Pokemon mass outbreak, this event provides another opportunity for players to expand their card collection and earn valuable in-game items.
The Gible Drop Event centers around a series of four single-player battles graded by difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. Each battle pits players against an opponent using a Fighting-type deck, presenting a strategic advantage for players utilizing Grass-type Pokemon, especially in the easier battles.
The Advanced and Expert level battles feature formidable opponents like Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, some of the strongest non-EX attackers in the game. While a Psychic deck is effective against these two, players should be prepared to face Garchomp EX, which is weak to Grass-type Pokemon.
Players earn rewards by winning battles, including a special booster pack containing a promo card for each first-time victory. The available promo cards include Cherrim, Raichu, Nosepass, Staraptor, and a full-art Gible. While visually distinct, this Gible card functions identically to those found in the Palkia packs from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion and the Triumphant Light set.
Beyond the promo cards, the Gible Drop Event offers rewards like Shinedust, shop tickets, and event hourglasses, essential for continued participation. These are guaranteed for initial wins, while subsequent victories provide a chance at either another promo booster pack or one of these alternative rewards.
The event also includes one-time challenges that, upon completion, grant additional rewards, including full booster packs. This layered reward system encourages consistent engagement throughout the event duration.
Running until March 16th, the Gible Drop Event uses an event stamina system, which recharges over time or can be replenished with event hourglasses. One key benefit is that losing a battle doesn't consume any stamina, allowing players to experiment with different deck strategies without penalty.
