Eternal Strands 2025 Roadmap: New Content, Gameplay Improvements, and More

Eternal Strands, the action-adventure game launched in January 2025, has unveiled its ambitious roadmap for the year.  Developer Yellow Brick Games is committed to delivering a fresh and engaging experience with continuous updates and exciting new content.

Players step into the shoes of Brynne, a Weaver striving to reclaim her people's lost cultural heritage.  The game's initial release showcased features like gear customization, a dynamic day-night cycle, and a crafting system. A pre-release demo gave players an early glimpse into the world of Eternal Strands.

Addressing player feedback regarding Brynne's movement, the first major update in March will refine controls.  While retaining the physics-based gameplay, adjustments will improve responsiveness and reduce the "skating" effect. Changes to acceleration, deceleration, and directional shifts aim to make traversal more intuitive.

Combat is also receiving a significant overhaul.  Enemies will react more realistically to attacks, with a new directional hit reaction system. Weapons like the Two-Handed Blade and Sword & Shield will be rebalanced for greater effectiveness.  Enhanced visual effects, controller vibration, and adjustments to the death penalty (eliminating loot loss from accidental falls) will further elevate the combat experience.

A free DLC, arriving in Spring 2025 and developed in partnership with renowned concept artist Yusuke Mogi, will introduce a new armor set, weapon skins, an additional map, and a brand new magic power.  Players can also look forward to armor and weapon dyeing options, helpful tips and tricks from Oria, and numerous bug fixes.

The roadmap continues into Summer 2025 with even more content on the horizon, including a mysterious collaboration with Grasshopper Manufacture.  The ongoing development of Eternal Strands clearly demonstrates Yellow Brick Games' dedication to listening to player feedback and enhancing the game based on community input.
