The Chinese mech action game, Overlimit, developed by Xishanju, launched its "Global Storm Steam Demo" on February 23rd at 6:00 PM (GMT+8). This demo introduces the innovative PvPvE mode, "Marsh Mark," alongside the returning 6v6 "Edge of War" and the brand-new fast-paced 3v3 "Ace Order" modes, offering players a diverse range of combat experiences.  Significant optimizations and improvements have also been implemented.

Introducing the PvPvE "Marsh Mark" Mode

After rigorous development and refinement, Overlimit now features its unique "search, fight, and extract" gameplay in the "Marsh Mark" mode.  Players can choose to brave the dangers solo or team up with two allies to face the relentless onslaught of the hostile "Teia Front".

Marsh Mark is characterized by its expansive map and dynamic airdrop support system.  Strategic planning is essential as players navigate the terrain, utilizing airdrops to enhance their combat capabilities and overcome enemy forces.  However, they must also be wary of other players seeking the same resources and ensure extraction before the devastating EIC pulse engulfs the map.

Adding another layer of challenge, this mode introduces formidable boss enemies, including the bipedal mech "Makalu" and the aerial warship "Constantine," intensifying the thrill of combat.

6v6 and 3v3 Combat Modes

The popular 6v6 "Edge of War" mode returns in this demo, joined by the debut of the high-octane 3v3 "Ace Order" mode.  Featuring four distinct maps, "Ace Order" will test players' teamwork and quick reflexes.

Welcome New Changes

Beyond the expansion of gameplay modes, Overlimit has incorporated player feedback, introducing numerous changes in the Global Storm Demo. A notable addition is the "Credit Score System" designed to improve matchmaking by penalizing unsportsmanlike conduct.

The highly engaging mech customization system has also been enhanced. Players can now unlock unique weapon skins by completing missions, allowing for greater personalization.  Season-exclusive patterns are also planned for future releases, further expanding customization options.

Physical Model Pre-orders Coming Soon

The striking mech designs of Overlimit have captivated collectors, and the official team announced during a pre-demo livestream that pre-orders for the first physical model, the UBP-R02T "Merlin," will be opening soon.

Furthermore, players participating in the "Marsh Mark" mode or completing streaming platform tasks during the demo period have a chance to obtain a voucher for the UBP-R02T "Merlin" model from the rare "Final Assembly Crate."  Adding Overlimit to your Steam wishlist will also grant you the permanent exclusive reward, the "Ember Commemorative" baseball cap.

Vanguard International Tournament

As part of the global testing initiative, Overlimit will host the "Vanguard International Tournament" from March 13th to 16th. Sixteen teams from China, North America, and Japan will compete, showcasing high-level gameplay in a thrilling esports spectacle.
