Recent headlines suggested Corsair's Chief Financial Officer, Ronald van Veen, hinted at a 2026 PC release for Grand Theft Auto 6 during an earnings call. However, Corsair has now clarified that Mr. van Veen’s statement was based on personal speculation, not insider knowledge from Rockstar Games.

During the earnings call, Mr. van Veen stated, “One of the bigger topics at the moment of course is the highly anticipated GTA 6. I think that is probably something for later this year in terms of a console release. I believe what we have understood is it’s going to be probably fall of this calendar year for the console release and then early calendar 2026 for the PC version.” This remark sparked media attention, with some interpreting it as Corsair possessing inside information regarding the game's launch.

Corsair swiftly addressed the ensuing speculation. A representative clarified to IGN that Mr. van Veen's comments were purely conjecture and that the company had received no official information from Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive.

Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed that GTA 6 is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2025.  Despite this, concerns linger about a potential delay. No official release date for the PC version has been announced.

Historically, Rockstar Games has a precedent of delayed or even absent PC releases. However, in the current gaming landscape of 2025, the viability of such a strategy remains to be seen.

For now, PC gamers await official news, with Rockstar's ultimate decision poised to significantly impact the highly anticipated game’s global market performance.
