Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Mod Brings Canon Super Saiyan 4 to Life

The Dragon Ball universe is constantly evolving, and recent events have brought a fan-favorite transformation into the official canon. Super Saiyan 4, initially introduced in Dragon Ball GT, has now made its canonical debut in Dragon Ball: Daima, thanks to the efforts of creator Akira Toriyama. This exciting development has sparked a wave of creativity among fans, leading to the creation of mods that bring this updated transformation to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

The immense popularity of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has set a high bar for other anime fighting games, particularly those in the Naruto franchise, which currently lacks a modern equivalent.  This success is further fueled by additions like the newly canonized Super Saiyan 4.

The integration of Super Saiyan 4 into official Dragon Ball lore has been met with widespread enthusiasm.  Modders wasted no time incorporating this transformation into Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.  Patreon user EmiG84 has developed a mod featuring the de-aged Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form as seen in Daima, distinct from the adult version previously featured from Dragon Ball GT.

EmiG84 also plans to create a similar mod for Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 4 form, anticipating its eventual appearance in Dragon Ball: Daima.  Other modders, like GameBanana’s Loryan YT, have also released mods that modify the existing adult SSJ4 Goku model to resemble his canon Daima counterpart.

Currently, EmiG84’s Super Saiyan 4 Goku mod is exclusively available on their Patreon.  However, with the child-like Daima version of base Goku already available as a pre-order bonus and upcoming DLC packs promising more characters from the new anime, there's hope for an official inclusion of this form in future Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero updates.
