Soar Through Azeroth with the Lunar Launcher in World of Warcraft's 2025 Chinese Festival
2025-01-29 05:03:31The 2025 Chinese Festival has arrived in Azeroth, bringing with it a dazzling new mount: the Lunar Launcher. This magnificent Skyriding rocket, adorned with gilded armor resembling a majestic eastern dragon, is a must-have for any collector.
To acquire the Lunar Launcher, players will need to gather 75 Coins of Ancestry. These coins are obtained by visiting Elders located near settlements and dungeons throughout Azeroth. This year, eight new Elders have been added to Khaz Algar, two in each of its four zones, offering players more opportunities to collect these precious coins. Earning the Coins of Ancestry also grants the Elders of Khaz Algar achievement.
With the convenience of Skyriding now available in most classic World of Warcraft zones, amassing the required 75 Coins of Ancestry for the Lunar Launcher is more accessible than ever before.
The Chinese Festival offers more than just a new mount. Players can participate in traditional festivities such as launching fireworks, battling a special world boss in Moonglade, and collecting a variety of Chinese New Year-themed cosmetics. These rewards include the three Dragon Costume toys, the Chinese and Festive Lantern pets, and transmoggable items like permanent flower crowns, festival dresses, and the Chinese Festival Armor customization for the Winding Slitherdrake introduced in 2024.
The Chinese Festival runs until February 11 in both modern and Classic WoW. Keep an eye on the Trading Post for additional Chinese New Year-themed cosmetics that may become available when the monthly inventory rotates.
