Genshin Impact 5.4 Primogem Forecast: A Detailed Breakdown and Community Reactions

Genshin Impact's Version 5.4 is on the horizon, and players are eager to know how many Primogems they can acquire for summoning their favorite characters.  A new chart, compiled by community member Hiragara, offers a detailed breakdown of the Primogem income potential in the upcoming update. This forecast is particularly relevant given the recent Version 5.3 introduction of Mavuika and Citlali, as well as the anticipation surrounding Version 5.4's new character, Mizuki, and reruns for popular characters like Furina, Sigewinne, and Wriothesley.

According to Hiragara's chart, the primary source of Primogems in Version 5.4 will be limited-time events, offering a substantial 2,420 Primogems upon full completion. However, the update notably lacks new explorable areas and achievements, contributing to a lower overall Primogem count compared to previous versions. This has led some players to label Version 5.4 as a “filler patch.” Free-to-play players are projected to earn around 9,250 Primogems, equivalent to approximately 57 wishes on the game’s gacha banners.

The lower Primogem count in Version 5.4 has sparked some community debate. Some players express disappointment, feeling that the available Primogems are insufficient to guarantee a five-star character, especially with the introduction of new characters and appealing reruns. The reduced Primogem count in a version following major events like Lantern Rite further fuels this sentiment.

Despite the concerns regarding Primogems, Version 5.4 offers a return to the beloved Inazuma region. The “Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival” event promises to bring back popular characters like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko.  Furthermore, after Version 5.5, Mizuki will join the standard banner, increasing her accessibility for players.

While Version 5.4 may offer fewer Primogems than some players hoped, it still provides opportunities for earning summoning currency through events and daily commissions.  The return to Inazuma and the introduction of engaging events offer compelling content for players to enjoy. Additionally, the strategic saving of Primogems and careful consideration of banner choices remain crucial for maximizing summoning potential.
