Embark Studios has officially announced the second public tech test for its highly anticipated PvPvE sandbox extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. The test will run from April 30 to May 4, giving players across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S a chance to experience the game before its official launch. Registrations are now open on Steam and the official ARC Raiders website.

Originally unveiled at The Game Awards 2021, ARC Raiders was initially planned as a cooperative PvE experience. However, Embark Studios later integrated PvPvE elements, blending player-versus-player combat with AI enemies in a dynamic open-world setting. The studio, known for The Finals, aims to refine the game based on player feedback from this test.

What's New in the Second Tech Test?

The upcoming test promises several improvements over the first public trial, including:

• Expanded enemy and weapon variety
• Enhanced player progression systems
• A preview of the game’s Battle Pass

Executive Producer Aleksander Grondal emphasized that the team has been refining the game based on player feedback. "We want to see how these changes resonate with players and gather insights on progression, combat, and cross-platform performance," Grondal stated in a press release.
