Dynamax Suicune Makes Its Debut in Pokemon GO During Max Battle Weekend

2025-04-24 07:13:07

Niantic has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Suicune in Pokemon GO, marking its debut during the Max Battle Weekend starting May 10. Trainers worldwide will have the opportunity to battle and capture this legendary Water-type Pokémon, with some lucky players encountering its rare Shiny variant. This follows the recent additions of Dynamax Entei and Raikou, completing the legendary beast trio.

Despite concerns among some players, Pokemon GO continues to thrive under Niantic's management, with no signs of slowing down. The game is set to introduce Kingambit, a Generation 9 Dark/Steel-type Pokémon, during the Crown Clash event from May 10–18. Additionally, a new baby Pokémon event begins on May 2, further expanding the game's roster.

About Dynamax in Pokemon GO

Originally introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch, the Dynamax mechanic allows Pokémon to grow to enormous sizes during battles, boosting their HP and transforming their moves into powerful 'Max Moves.' In Pokemon GO, this feature is exclusive to Max Battles—special multiplayer encounters where up to four players team up against Dynamax Pokémon. Successful battles reward players with the chance to catch the Dynamax Pokémon and earn various items.
