After years of delays and a change in developers, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has moved a step closer to release.  The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has officially rated the game 'Mature', indicating that a formal launch date announcement could be imminent. Players will control two vampires striving to reclaim their lost memories and powers amidst an uprising, as described in the ESRB summary.  This first-person action RPG blends melee combat, stealth tactics, and supernatural abilities, including telekinesis and possession, for an immersive and visceral experience.

Combat promises to be brutal and graphic, allowing players to dismember and impale their foes in detail.  The ESRB rating further highlights the game's mature tone, citing explicit dialogue with sexual content and strong language. The game's environments, featuring decapitated bodies and pools of blood, contribute to the dark and violent atmosphere characteristic of the World of Darkness setting.
