Recent leaks within the Genshin Impact community have unveiled Dahlia, an upcoming male character hailing from Mondstadt, who will wield a Sword. While Genshin Impact has consistently introduced gameplay changes, particularly in Natlan, new characters have often been the catalyst.  Characters like Citlali have redefined Melt, Varesa revolutionized Plunge attacks, and Escoffier is poised to reinvigorate Freeze as a meta reaction.

Many of these upcoming Genshin Impact characters lean towards Support roles. Ifa, Mizuki, Iansan, and Escoffier all exemplify this trend. While Dahlia's exact role in Version 5.7 remains uncertain, players can anticipate an appearance from the Deacon of the Church of Favonius in the upcoming Mondstadt Archon Quest.

A recent Genshin Impact leak has provided details about a new free-to-obtain four-star bow coming in update 5.6.  This leak allowed data miners to accurately predict Dahlia's weapon type. Although his element is currently unknown, Mero suggests that Dahlia is a Sword user from Mondstadt, slated for release alongside Skirk in Version 5.7.  Based on prior leaks, Dahlia will likely be a 4-Star character, as Kinich is anticipated to be the only male 5-Star in the Natlan era.

While this might disappoint some players, recent 4-Star characters have proven remarkably powerful.  With characters like Ororon, Lan Yan, Iansan, and Ifa, Natlan seems to place significant value on its 4-Star roster.

Dahlia, a 4-Star Sword user with an unknown element, has multiple avenues to impact Genshin Impact's evolving meta.  If he is Hydro, he could become the element's first 4-Star Shield Support, filling a significant gap. However, many are hoping he will be Mondstadt's first Dendro character, potentially legitimizing the new Elemental Reaction introduced in the Imaginarium Theater in Version 5.6.

Interestingly, Dahlia's concept art leaked two years ago. The community anticipated his eventual arrival, and it appears Version 5.7 will finally mark his playable debut.  While potential synergy with Skirk remains to be seen, players won't have long to wait. Version 5.6 is scheduled for May 7, 2025, with Version 5.7 following on June 18, 2025.
