The fan-favorite Verdansk map makes its triumphant return to Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 3, and Activision is marking the occasion with a special in-game event called "Return to Verdansk." After a three-and-a-half-year hiatus, players can once again drop into the iconic battleground starting April 3rd.

The return has been highly anticipated ever since Activision teased it during the COD Next event in August.  While details remained scarce for months, leaks and data mining hinted at a Season 3 release, which was officially confirmed earlier this month.  Activision promises "incredible rewards" for participants, though specifics are yet to be revealed. A recent Call of Duty: Warzone video hinted at the reappearance of the AMAX and Kilo 141, while leaks point to the Grau 5.56, HDR, and the controversial operator Roze also making a comeback.  Roze initially required multiple nerfs due to visibility issues.
