Ten games are bidding farewell to Xbox Game Pass on March 31, including several highly-rated titles.  This is a familiar cycle for seasoned Game Pass subscribers, with games typically departing mid-month and at the month's end.  While new titles are added regularly, this wave of departures marks a significant shift in the available library.

The departing games include MLB The Show 24, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, Open Roads, Lil Gator Game, and entries from the acclaimed Yakuza franchise, such as Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.  Monster Hunter Rise also joins the list of exiting games.

The removal of these games presents a considerable loss for the service.  Subscribers are encouraged to try these titles while they remain available and utilize the 20% discount offered on Game Pass titles for future purchases.

The departure of MLB The Show 24 is particularly disappointing for baseball enthusiasts.  Previously, new MLB The Show releases launched day one on Game Pass. However, with MLB The Show 25 absent from the service, subscribers are left without a readily available baseball title unless purchased separately.

The exit of the Yakuza games is also a significant blow, especially with the removal of beloved entries like Yakuza 0 and the critically acclaimed Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The increasing popularity of the Yakuza series makes this removal a missed opportunity for potential new fans to discover the franchise through Game Pass.

Monster Hunter Rise's departure is another unfortunate loss, particularly with the recent success of Monster Hunter Wilds.  While the shorter playtime of Lil Gator Game makes completion before March 31 feasible, it remains a bittersweet farewell.
