NetEase Games is turning up the heat in Marvel Rivals with a mid-season update packed with exciting new content.  Players can look forward to two new playable heroes, a dynamic Central Park map, various balance adjustments, and engaging challenges offering free rewards.

The Human Torch is igniting the battlefield as the latest Duelist, bringing his signature fiery abilities to the fight. As a highly mobile flying hero, he can rain down flames from above or execute scorching dive attacks.  His ability to create walls of fire provides strategic zoning potential, trapping and damaging enemies caught within.  His ultimate unleashes devastating fire tornadoes, which can be further amplified by Storm's own ultimate for a truly destructive combo.  Human Torch also benefits from a team-up with Invisible Woman, granting him added shielding for increased survivability.

Arriving alongside Human Torch is the visually striking Negative Zone Gladiator costume. This epic rarity skin reimagines Johnny Storm in darker attire, clad in black armor with fiery accents.  The costume gives him a grittier, battle-worn appearance, quite different from his usual clean-cut style. The absence of any Fantastic Four insignia adds an intriguing layer of mystery to the character's presentation.

Leaked information suggests the Negative Zone Gladiator costume bundle will be available for 1,600 Units within the in-game shop. NetEase Games has recently implemented a system allowing players to trade excess Chrono Tokens earned throughout the season for Units, providing more opportunities to acquire shop items without spending real money.

The Human Torch isn't blazing into the game alone. The ever-resilient Thing joins the roster as a powerful Vanguard. His kit focuses on charging into the heart of battle, pummeling opponents with earth-shattering force. He possesses a passive ability that prevents him from being moved or manipulated by enemy attacks, making him an immovable force on the battlefield.  

With this substantial update arriving on February 21st, and even more content planned for the future, Marvel Rivals fans have much to look forward to.  The combination of new heroes, the Central Park map, and the Negative Zone Gladiator costume promises to further elevate the gameplay experience and solidify Marvel Rivals' position as a prominent hero shooter.
