Free DLC for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf on PC, Consoles Left Out

BioWare surprised PC players of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf with a free DLC this past weekend, leaving console players out in the cold.

Following EA's admission of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf's commercial underperformance a few weeks prior, this free DLC comes as a welcome surprise, though exclusively for the PC platform.

Despite the game's struggles, BioWare hasn't abandoned its latest project.  This unexpected DLC drop demonstrates a continued commitment to the game and its players, at least on PC.

The free weapon DLC, Lococo's Weapon Tuning Set, is currently only available for the PC version of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, accessible through platforms like Steam. The DLC is available for a limited time, with players needing to claim it before April 9, 2025.

PC players who own or purchase Dragon Age: Dreadwolf before April 9, 2025, will find the items from Lococo's Weapon Tuning Set waiting for them in Lococo's room within the game.

Console players on PlayStation and Xbox platforms are currently unable to access the DLC. There's been no official communication regarding if or when the free content will be available on these platforms.

Launched in October 2024 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf initially saw positive reception, but quickly faded from the spotlight. This suggested lower sales figures than EA and BioWare had anticipated.

The game's disappointing commercial performance prompted strategic shifts within BioWare, including job losses and a revised development approach focusing on one major project at a time.
