Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has made a significant mark on the gaming world, achieving remarkable sales success in its first month.  Reports from the United States indicate that the sequel has sold five times more than the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, solidifying the franchise's growing popularity.

Released in February 2025, this medieval RPG quickly became a hit, selling over a million copies within a day and receiving widespread critical acclaim.  Reviewers and players alike praised the game's grounded realism, engaging story and characters, and high level of player agency.  This positive reception contributed to an impressive average critic score of 90 on OpenCritic.

Circana analyst Mat Piscatella recently revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 significantly outsold its predecessor in launch month dollar sales in the US.  While global figures may vary, this data clearly demonstrates the sequel's increased commercial success.

Recent data confirms that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sold over two million copies, and this number is expected to rise throughout 2025.  Shortly after its release, the game reached a peak of 250,000 concurrent players on Steam, establishing it as one of the year's biggest launches.

Warhorse Studios has been diligently working to improve the game post-launch.  Update 1.2 introduced several new features, including the ability to customize Henry's appearance at a barber, along with bug fixes and refinements to combat mechanics, NPC behavior, and overall performance.

The developers have also outlined a roadmap for future content.  A Hardcore Mode and horse racing are planned for upcoming updates.  Intriguingly, some players have already accessed the Hardcore Mode on PC using a console command.  Later in 2025, three major DLC expansions will be released, available individually or as part of an Expansion Pass.
