Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's 'Into the Underworld' Quest Bug and Upcoming Fixes

The highly anticipated 'Into the Underworld' main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has unfortunately encountered a troublesome glitch, halting progress for some players.  Warhorse Studios has addressed the issue and confirmed that a fix is imminent.

While this bug doesn't appear to be widespread, it's undeniably frustrating for those affected. The glitch prevents players from locating a crucial NPC named Goatskin, effectively blocking further advancement in the main storyline.

Despite launching to positive reviews, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, like many large-scale games, has faced its share of technical challenges.  Warhorse Studios has been actively addressing these issues, as evidenced by the substantial 1.2 update, which included numerous bug fixes.  However, this particular game-breaking bug managed to slip through the cracks.

Warhorse Studios' Global PR Manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, acknowledged the bug in response to a fan on social media. He confirmed that a fix is expected during the week of March 17th.  In the interim, Stolz-Zwilling suggested focusing on side quests or reloading a save file from before starting 'Into the Underworld.'  However, reloading a save may not be ideal for players who have already invested significant time in side quests after beginning the problematic quest.

Beyond addressing bugs, Warhorse Studios has exciting plans for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's future.  Three paid DLCs are slated for release in 2025, promising additional content and adventures.  Furthermore, a free Hardcore mode is in development, offering a heightened challenge and increased replayability for those seeking a more demanding experience.
