Genshin Impact has officially unveiled the character banners for Version 5.5, giving players a glimpse of the highly anticipated update's gacha offerings. Following the recent Version 5.5 Special Program, HoYoverse confirmed the lineup of five-star characters set to appear on the limited-time banners.

The first half of Version 5.5 will introduce Varesa, a new five-star Electro character anticipated to be a powerful DPS option.  This phase also features a rerun of the popular Anemo character, Xianyun, known for their off-field support capabilities and synergy with Plunging Attack-focused teams.

The second half of the update brings reruns for two contrasting characters: Xilonen, the Geo character from Natlan, and Venti, the Anemo Archon, a long-standing favorite since the game's launch.  This provides an opportunity for players to acquire or further strengthen these characters within their roster.

The update will also introduce Iansan, a new four-star character hailing from Natlan, who will debut alongside Varesa in the first half of Version 5.5.  Iansan was first teased in the "Travail" trailer shortly after the game's release and marks the first playable character from the Natlan region.

Beyond the character banners, Version 5.5 promises a wealth of new content. Players can explore a new area within Natlan, featuring the Great Volcano of Tollan and a challenging new boss encounter. The update also introduces the final Natlan tribe to the playable area, the "Collective of Plenty" along with their accompanying "Tribal Chronicles" questline.

Several events are planned for Version 5.5, with the "Tournament of Glory in Bloom" taking center stage.  This event, along with other additions, will provide players with ample opportunities to earn rewards and engage with the game's ever-expanding world.
