Among Us 3D: Bringing First-Person Deception to PC and VR
2025-02-21 02:08:34The hit social deduction game, Among Us, is taking its immersive 3D experience to a new level. Originally launched as Among Us VR, the game is rebranding as Among Us 3D and expanding to PC, allowing players on both PC and VR platforms to engage in thrilling matches of deception and teamwork.
Among Us 3D will soon be available on PC, although a specific release date remains unconfirmed. Eager players can get a sneak peek during Steam Next Fest, starting Monday, February 24th, with a playable demo. The game is also available to wishlist on Steam now.
Cross-play functionality will be a key feature, uniting players across PC and VR platforms including Steam VR, Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, and PICO 4. This unified experience is the driving force behind the rebranding from Among Us VR to Among Us 3D.
Players can expect all the exciting content from Among Us VR to be carried over to Among Us 3D. This includes integrated voice chat, the strategic Engineer role, and a wide array of cosmetic items like hats, gloves, and skins. The PC version will feature a dedicated HUD displaying vital information such as task lists, player names, roles, and other crucial game details.
The development teams at Innersloth and Schell Games have exciting plans for the future of Among Us 3D. They are committed to delivering new content, including cosmetics, roles, game modes, and exciting collaborations. A new in-game currency called Stardust, exclusive to Among Us 3D, will allow players to acquire a mix of brand-new cosmetic items and beloved favorites from the original 2D version. While the 2D version of Among Us will remain available, cross-play between the 2D and 3D versions will not be supported.
