Days Gone Remastered Entices Return with New Trophies and Enhanced Features
2025-03-27 02:48:07The team at Bend Studio has announced a compelling reason for players to return to the post-apocalyptic world of Days Gone: six brand-new trophies await in the upcoming remastered edition. This addition provides further incentive for fans to experience the upgraded version of the 2019 action-adventure title.
Despite initially receiving mixed reviews, Days Gone has cultivated a devoted fanbase over the years. While a sequel remains unconfirmed by both Bend Studio and Sony, the announcement of a PS5 exclusive remaster, set for release on April 25th, was met with enthusiasm. Now, this latest trophy reveal adds another layer of excitement.
Announced via Twitter, Bend Studio confirmed that Days Gone Remastered will boast a total of 67 trophies—six more than the original. Four of these new trophies are tied to the 'Horde Assault' mode, challenging players to survive relentless waves of the undead. These additional trophies will also be available as achievements on the PC version via Steam. Importantly, returning players can seamlessly transfer their PS4 save data to the PS5 remaster, automatically unlocking any previously earned trophies.
For those who already own the original Days Gone, the question of upgrading might arise. However, the addition of these new trophies, alongside other enhanced features, provides a compelling argument, especially for completionists. Beyond the trophies, Days Gone Remastered boasts new game modes, DualSense controller support for a more immersive experience, enhanced accessibility options, and significantly improved visuals.
While the remaster is a welcome development for fans, the possibility of a Days Gone sequel hasn't been completely ruled out. With Bend Studio's recent cancellation of their in-development live-service game, resources may become available to revisit the Days Gone franchise in the future.
