WWE 2K25: Spelling Errors and Gameplay Features

2025-03-13 04:05:57

The recently released WWE 2K25 has wrestling fans buzzing, both for its extensive roster and unfortunately, for a few unexpected typos. Players who pre-ordered the Bloodline or Deadman special editions are already grappling in the ring, while the rest of the world gets their chance on March 14th.  Boasting over 300 playable superstars from WWE's past and present, the game promises to be a comprehensive wrestling experience.

Developer Visual Concepts has meticulously recreated wrestlers' entrances and ring gear.  Players can further customize superstars with the character creation suite, enabling them to design unique outfits or replicate real-world changes in wrestler attire. This feature also provides a close-up look at character models.

However, some keen-eyed players have spotted some rather peculiar spelling mistakes on certain wrestlers' gear, sharing their findings on the WWEGames subreddit.  One example involves returning wrestler CM Punk's “Best in the World” shirt, which reportedly reads “Best im the World.”  Another instance involves AJ Styles, whose ring pants logo apparently displays “Phenomenal Ons” instead of “Phenomenal One.”

Speculation abounds regarding the source of these errors. Some suggest AI upscaling of images might be to blame, while others posit simple human error. Some users note that the styling of CM Punk’s actual shirt makes the “N” resemble an “M,” although not as drastically as in the game.  Similarly, inconsistencies in the design of AJ Styles' pants logo have also been observed.

Beyond these attire issues, players have also reported spelling mistakes in MyGM mode's fan comments, drawing comparisons to similar errors in WWE 2K24, some of which have been corrected in the new game.  It remains to be seen if these are isolated incidents or if further misspelled logos will surface as more players gain access to the game.

WWE 2K25 offers a massive roster featuring over 300 Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers.  From Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Undertaker to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Jade Cargill, the game spans generations of wrestling icons.

The new 2K Showcase mode, hosted by Paul Heyman, delves into the history of The Bloodline, one of wrestling's most dominant families.  Players can relive iconic matches or create dream matchups between The Bloodline and other WWE Superstars and Legends.

MyRISE features an all-new intergender storyline, offering new brawl environments, unlockable arenas, characters, and objects.

MyGM mode expands with 4-player online multiplayer, allowing players to manage their own wrestling brands, draft Superstars and Legends, and navigate multi-week seasons.

The Universe mode provides greater control over the player experience.  The return of promos introduces multiple types and outcomes with new cutscenes and branching choices.

Expanded gameplay features include the debut of intergender wrestling, the return of chain wrestling,  Underground and Bloodline Rules match types, barricade diving, and more.
