Following a previous patch aimed at improving performance, Insomniac Games has released another update for the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. This update focuses on further optimizing performance and addressing several bugs, ultimately enhancing the gameplay experience.

The acclaimed superhero title, originally a PlayStation 5 exclusive, launched on PC in early 2025. Since then, it has received several updates dedicated to resolving performance issues and bugs.  This latest patch represents a continued commitment to refining the PC port.

This fourth PC patch tackles performance issues, bugs, glitches, and offers quality-of-life improvements. Significant optimizations have been implemented for CPU and GPU performance, especially concerning ray tracing, including enhancements for scenes involving sand.

Several ray tracing bugs have been squashed, including one causing excessive lighting and another resulting in darkened character models. The update also addresses crashes, such as one occurring when quitting the game shortly after launch and another impacting quad-core processors with ray tracing enabled.

With its stunning visuals, players are keen to maximize Marvel's Spider-Man 2's graphical potential on PC. This update facilitates that goal by fixing an issue where brightness, contrast, and other visual settings would reset.

The PC launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 faced challenges, with the port initially falling short of the console version.  Insomniac Games has been diligently working to improve the PC experience, providing a viable alternative for those without a PlayStation 5. While no story DLC is planned, the core game offers ample web-slinging action to satisfy players.
