Marvel Rivals Unveils New Venom Skin, Clone Rumble Mode, and Upcoming Character Leaks
2025-03-06 11:56:15NetEase Games' popular hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, has exciting updates on the horizon, including a brand-new Venom skin, a unique game mode, and potential new characters.
The 'Lingering Imprint' skin for Venom, launching March 6th at 6 PM PST, gives the symbiote anti-hero a more rugged, jagged appearance. Instead of his typical smooth aesthetic, this costume features sharp edges resembling stone and spikes, along with a distinctive yellow glow around his eyes. While inspired by the Agent Venom look, it offers a fresh take on the character's design, while still retaining his iconic white spider emblem.
The 'Lingering Imprint' bundle also includes an emote showcasing Venom's vulnerability to sonic waves, a spray, and an MVP screen. This isn't the only cosmetic update coming to Marvel Rivals. Players can also look forward to the stylish 'Twilight Duo' skin for Cloak and Dagger, inspired by Sicilian fashion. Recently released punk-themed skins for Magik and Hulk offer even more customization options, with Magik's 'Punkchild' look featuring pigtails, fishnets, and a short skirt, while Hulk sports tattoos and a green mohawk, along with an even more imposing Monster Hulk form.
Beyond cosmetics, Marvel Rivals is introducing the 'Clone Rumble' game mode. While details are scarce, the name suggests exciting gameplay centered around cloned heroes battling it out. The game is also launching a special event, 'Galacta's Cosmic Adventure', which takes the form of a board game. Players roll dice to progress and collect rewards, including Units, emotes, nameplates, and a free Western-themed skin for Black Widow.
Finally, leaks suggest that Season 2 of Marvel Rivals could introduce Blade and Emma Frost as playable characters. While unconfirmed, these rumors have sparked considerable excitement within the community.
