Many veteran Helldivers 2 players have already conquered all the game's content and reached the current level cap of 150.  Their continued dedication to the Super Earth's democratic ideals is now purely altruistic, as there are no further in-game rewards to pursue.

Recently, in the game's official Discord channel, players inquired about potential improvements to the endgame experience, receiving a positive response from developer Arrowhead Game Studios.

Developer 'Sephez' confirmed that "there are things in the works,"  but remained tight-lipped on specifics to avoid setting unrealistic player expectations. However, they reassured players that "we are working towards something."

This could suggest the introduction of new unlockables, such as ship cosmetics or even weapon skins. Currently, customizing weapon appearances in Helldivers 2 relies solely on third-party mods.

Furthermore, Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani previously expressed interest in a complete overhaul of the armor passive skill system, potentially tying it to an "interesting progression system."  Currently, armor pieces have fixed passive abilities, sometimes forcing players to choose between desired stats and preferred aesthetics.
