DeNA's hit mobile trading card game, Pokémon TCG Pocket, has officially surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide, marking a significant achievement for the popular title.

In a Pokémon Day (February 27th) social media post, the official Pokémon TCG Pocket account expressed gratitude to the community, stating: "What a way to celebrate Pokémon Day! Thank you all for your continued support; we truly appreciate it.  We look forward to celebrating this community and many more milestones in the year to come.  We hope you continue to enjoy our game!"

To commemorate Pokémon Day, TCG Pocket players can obtain a special booster pack containing rare cards for free between February 27th and April 29th, 2025.  Special in-game missions will also be available until March 26th, 2025.  Adding to the excitement, DeNA revealed that ranked matches are slated to launch in March 2025, with further details to be announced soon.

DeNA expressed their thanks to the player base, saying, "We are grateful to all the players who have tried out the game.  We will continue to develop and operate this game so that everyone can enjoy it even more. We plan to add ranked matches, continue to add more booster packs, and hold various events in the future."

According to AppMagic estimates, Pokémon TCG Pocket has generated over $500 million in lifetime revenue since its October launch. Following a slight dip in late December, revenue surged with the Space-Time Smackdown event in January, exceeding $10 million in daily revenue for the first time.
