Xbox Game Studios head, Craig Duncan, confirmed the delay, emphasizing the game's worth and showcasing new gameplay footage during an Xbox Podcast episode.  He expressed confidence in Playground Games, the studio behind the acclaimed Forza Horizon series, praising their rendition of Albion.  While platforms are confirmed for Xbox Series X/S and PC, rumors of a PlayStation 5 release persist, though the delay's impact on this remains unclear.  Duncan reassured fans that these decisions are made to benefit both the development team and the final product.

The latest pre-alpha footage highlighted urban environments, offering a fresh look at combat and the game's fantastical forests.  Swords, hammers, and fire-based magic were showcased, hinting at diverse playstyles. Previous Fable titles emphasized player choice, and fans anticipate similarly complex moral dilemmas in the reboot.
