The Chinese-developed action RPG, Lost Soul, has revealed a new boss battle gameplay video, showcasing intense combat and impressive graphics. Developed by Shanghai-based Ultizero Games, the game is set to launch simultaneously on PS5 and PC via Steam on May 30, 2025. The standard edition on Steam will be priced at 268 Yuan.

Lost Soul's PC version boasts several enhanced features, including optimized 4K resolution, ray tracing support, DualSense controller compatibility, and HDR display.

The PlayStation official website also recently released the PC system requirements for Lost Soul.  The highest settings, including ray tracing, will require an RTX 5070Ti graphics card.

**Development Insights:**

Lost Soul, a project started by Bing Yang in late 2014, has been in development for over a decade.  Yang initially faced numerous challenges, but the project gained momentum with the formation of a team in 2017.  A partnership with PlayStation, initiated in 2016, provided crucial support, further strengthened by the China Hero Project initiative.

Drawing inspiration from franchises like Final Fantasy, particularly Final Fantasy XV, Lost Soul’s character designs and visual style exhibit a clean and polished aesthetic, blending fantasy elements with realistic visuals.  The combat system, influenced by games like Devil May Cry, emphasizes stylish combos and fluid, high-speed action.  Players can seamlessly switch weapons and execute a variety of skills and chain attacks.

The game features two main characters, Kaser and Arena. Arena, a dragon, can transform into weapons and other elements to assist Kaser in battle.  While not an open world, certain areas within the game offer expansive environments. The game also supports PS5 Pro enhancements.
