Recent leaks surrounding Honkai: Star Rail have sparked excitement amongst players, hinting at a potential second form for Phainon, a significant character linked to Amphoreus and the Chrysos Heirs.  As the game delves deeper into this intriguing storyline, anticipation grows for future playable characters and their roles within the narrative.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 introduces two new 5-Star characters, Mydei and Tribbie, with Mydei potentially playing a crucial part in the next Trailblaze mission. However, Phainon has also been suggested as a key figure in Amphoreus and is rumored to eventually become playable. A newly surfaced leak adds fuel to this speculation, suggesting players may encounter a different side of Phainon in upcoming updates.

Leaked information, attributed to Shiroha, reveals a model believed to be Phainon's rumored alternate form. This model depicts a tall male figure with light hair, a halo, and garments incorporating gold and dark blue hues, possibly referencing Amphoreus' day-and-night themes.  The model also features asymmetrical wings in contrasting colors.

This leak seems to corroborate earlier rumors about Phainon possessing a second in-game form, potentially as an Elite enemy boss. It's also possible that this alternate form could be related to his playable abilities, similar to Robin's combat mechanics. While some characters like Sunday and Aventurine have distinct enemy models compared to their playable forms, it remains to be seen how Phainon's second form will be integrated into the game.

Phainon's potential playable release window is rumored to be around Version 3.3 or 3.4. While players await confirmation, several other characters are slated for release.  HoYoverse has already announced the 5-Star characters Anaxa and Castorice for Version 3.2, with additional Chrysos Heirs, including Cipher and Hyacine, expected to join the roster later.
