Capcom Sales Update: Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter Lead the Charge

Capcom has released updated sales data for its biggest hits, revealing continued strong performance across several franchises.

The Monster Hunter series continues to be a powerhouse, with Monster Hunter: World achieving a staggering 28.12 million units sold, followed by its Iceborne expansion at 14.93 million units.  Monster Hunter Rise has reached 16.79 million units, while its Sunbreak expansion boasts 9.48 million units sold.

The Resident Evil franchise also shows robust numbers.  The highly acclaimed Resident Evil 4 Remake has already sold 9.23 million units since its recent launch.  Resident Evil Village stands at an impressive 10.96 million units, while Resident Evil 7 biohazard has reached 14.46 million units, and Resident Evil 2 Remake sits at 15.03 million units.

Street Fighter 6, the latest entry in the popular fighting game series, has achieved a respectable 4.4 million units sold, demonstrating its early success. Devil May Cry 5 continues its strong performance with 8.96 million units sold.

Capcom's top-selling game franchises demonstrate the company's long history of success.  Resident Evil leads the pack with a colossal 167 million units sold across the entire series. The Monster Hunter franchise trails closely behind with 108 million units sold, showcasing its immense popularity.  Street Fighter rounds out the top three with 56 million units.

Other notable franchises in the top ten include Mega Man with 42 million units, Devil May Cry with 33 million, Dead Rising with 18 million, Dragon's Dogma with 13 million, Ace Attorney also at 13 million, Marvel vs. Capcom with 12 million, and Onimusha with 8.7 million.
