Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening Event Brings New Mount and Bonuses

2025-01-30 09:40:52

The Lunar Awakening event returns to Diablo 4, offering players a chance to celebrate the Lunar New Year with exciting rewards and bonuses.  From February 4th to 18th, both Eternal and Seasonal realm players can participate in the festivities.

This year's event introduces the striking Trag'Oul's Consort mount, adorned with red accents and intricate golden patterns.  Players can also earn other cosmetic rewards like the Lunar Scepter, Dragon's Courage, Moonshot Bow, Dragon's Tapestry, and Moon's Bounty by progressing through the 10 levels of Ancestral Favor Reputation.

Activating Lunar Shrines, shaped like snakes in honor of the 2025 Lunar New Year, grants a substantial 100% XP boost for two minutes. These shrines also have a chance to attract Misery Spirits, adding an extra challenge to your adventures.

Ancestral Favor Reputation can be earned by defeating monsters in dungeons or the open world. This reputation can be exchanged for themed rewards at the Lunar Night Market.  The Tejal Shop will also feature Lunar Awakening-themed gear, including the Scholar of the Lonely Moon for the Sorcerer and the Dragon of the Lonely Moon mount armor.

The Lunar Awakening event coincides with Diablo 4's Season of Witchcraft, which began on January 21st.  This season introduces 25 new witchcraft powers, allowing players to customize their builds with abilities like summoning explosive toads.

Other additions in the Season of Witchcraft include new Headrotten enemies, eight unique items and legendary affixes, updated runes, and more. The Lunar Awakening provides another engaging activity for players to enjoy alongside these seasonal updates.
