Blizzard recently confirmed that Diablo 4 Season 8, titled Belial's Return, launches April 29, with a special preview livestream scheduled for April 24. According to the official website, players will experience a brand new questline exploring Belial's insatiable hunger for power. The update introduces 24 unique Boss Powers obtainable throughout Sanctuary, allowing for deeper character customization. The Berserk crossover event runs from May 6 to June 3, while the redesigned Battle Pass offers more flexible reward progression. Quality-of-life improvements include direct teleportation to party members, enhanced boss loot, and new endgame challenges.

In response to player feedback about game difficulty, Blizzard confirmed that Season 8 will implement significant challenge adjustments. Leveling characters will yield fewer Legendary items, while reaching the highest Torment tier in endgame content becomes more demanding.
