While players anticipate the arrival of Varesa and Iansan, developer HoYoverse has seemingly provided a glimpse into the future roster.  A recent character trailer, "Varesa: Pre-Tournament Prep," features a brief appearance of an intriguing new character. The character, seen only from behind, sports long blonde hair, a chef's hat, and a burgundy outfit.  A Cryo Vision is prominently displayed on the back of the hat, suggesting Cryo elemental abilities.

The mysterious Cryo character's appearance has ignited speculation within the player community.  Many believe this character to be the long-rumored chef character, currently referred to as Escoffier. This speculation aligns with previous Genshin Impact leaks and a character silhouette officially teased by HoYoverse a few months prior.

Further fan theories connect Escoffier to the Fontaine storyline, with some speculating a return to the Hydro nation in future updates.  Adding to the intrigue, HoYoverse's recent Special Program introduced Ifa, a renowned Saurian veterinarian from Natlan, known to be a close friend of Electro support character Ororon. Ifa is confirmed to be an Anemo user.
