Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless has arrived, injecting fresh excitement into the ever-popular battle royale.  Building on the game's massive success since its 2017 launch, this season introduces significant changes, including new locations, mechanics, and of course, a highly anticipated arsenal of exotic weapons.

The new season launched on February 21st, unveiling locations like Crime City and Outlaw Oasis, providing new battlegrounds for players to test their skills. Familiar points of interest like Demon’s Dojo and Seaport City also return, offering a blend of the new and the nostalgic.  A key addition this season is the introduction of Black Markets, underground hubs where players can exchange Gold Bars or the new Dill Bits currency for rare weapons, items, and upgrades.

The excitement doesn't stop there.  Leaks circulating online suggest even more exotic weapons are on the horizon.  According to HYPEX on Twitter, a new Fortnite update is expected on March 25th, potentially introducing six new exotic weapons: the Rift Launcher, Explosive Mammoth, Slap Chug Jug, Accelerant Twister AR, Slap Shotgun, and Final Mark Sniper. Each weapon boasts unique attributes, promising to diversify gameplay. The Slap Shotgun, for instance, automatically reloads while sprinting and sliding, offering a dynamic edge in combat.

Lawless has already delivered a handful of exotic weapons, including the Stink Rifle, which unleashes toxic clouds upon impact, and the Shockwave Rocket Launcher, firing low-damage impulse grenades. The leaked exotics promise even more innovative mechanics. The Accelerant Twister AR, for example, boosts movement speed and fire rate as players unleash their firepower, while the Final Mark Sniper marks targets, dealing bonus damage to marked enemies.

Players can acquire exotic weapons in several ways, including using Outlaw Keycards to access vaults or discovering them at specific locations. The Lawless update also introduces Black Market backrooms as another potential source for these powerful weapons. While it's unconfirmed whether the leaked exotics will be available via Black Markets, they represent another avenue for players to enhance their loadouts.
