The upcoming Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 1 introduces the iconic T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.  A recent gameplay clip showcases a humorous exchange between the liquid metal assassin and DC's Peacemaker, adding a layer of meta-humor to the fight.

Rumors of the T-1000's inclusion circulated since the game's launch in September 2023, fueled by datamining and hints from voice actors.  These speculations were confirmed with the announcement of the Khaos Reigns expansion and Kombat Pack 2.

The Kombat Pack 2 features a staggered release schedule for its 11 DLC characters.  While NetherRealm Studios has showcased the T-1000's fatalities and fighting style, a particular pre-fight interaction has caught the attention of fans.

In the clip, the T-1000 questions Peacemaker's intense stare. Peacemaker responds, "Because, f*ck, man, you look just like my dad!"  This seemingly simple line is a direct reference to actor Robert Patrick.

Robert Patrick portrayed both the T-1000 in Terminator 2 and Peacemaker's father, August "Auggie" Smith, in the HBO Max series Peacemaker. Patrick reprised his role as the T-1000 for Mortal Kombat 1, making Peacemaker's line a fourth-wall-breaking joke.

Unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger, who didn't voice the T-800 in Mortal Kombat 11, Patrick's return adds an extra layer of authenticity and humor to the game.

Players with early access through Khaos Reigns can play as the T-1000 starting March 18, with a wider release on March 25.

The T-1000 and Madam Bo are the final character additions for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns. The future of DLC beyond Khaos Reigns remains uncertain, with rumors suggesting a potential pause due to lukewarm sales, despite teases of further expansions from co-creator Ed Boon.
